CSPA sues City of Stockton over waste water treatment plant!

After numerous, letters and meetings with the City of Stockton regarding Stockton's waste water treatment plant, all without a proper response or effort to adequately correct deficiencies, CSPA has filed suit under the Clean Water Act. Stockton's waste water plant is a proven fish killer, it needs to be fixed and CSPA is ready to go to the mat if necessary to see that it is done. http://www.calsport.org/9-19-08a.htm

Klamath River tribes and fishermen demonstrate and block doors at PacifiCorp headquarters, no arrests

A coalition of Klamath River Indian tribes, fishermen, conservationists and local supporters ramped up their campaign to remove four fish-killing dams on the Klamath River. The group marched on Pacificorp headquarters and blocked the doorways in a day of protest. Story and pictures. http://www.calsport.org/9-19-08.htm

DFG to attempt 2nd rescue at Caples Lake on September 22nd: CSPA coordinating Volunteers

September 19, 2008 -- DFG, under the supervision of Joe Johnson, Senior Field Biologist, will attempt a second fish rescue behind the bladder dam on Monday the 22nd at Caples Lake. Ten volunteers are needed to assist. CSPA is coordinating the volunteer effort. http://www.calsport.org/9-19-08b.htm
