CSPA condemns proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act 

Chris Shutes, CSPA FERC Projects Director, has written a scathing comment letter regarding the proposed changes to the Endangered Species Act. Read his letter and then write your own. Deadline for comments is September 15th. CSPA Action Alert 8.15.08

CSPA requests status as a designated party in renewal permits for McClellan Air Force Base waste problem

McClellan Air Force Base was a major part of the west coast defense system starting in 1935. However when the Air Force pulled out, past practices had produced a toxic wasteland. CSPA has found that recent permits for wastewater discharge have been relaxed, putting our waterways and fisheries in danger.

CSPA requests status as a designated party in renewal permits for City of Stockton Waste Water Treatment permit

Stockton's wastewater treatment plant kills fish. CSPA's  request for designated party status lists many of the defects in the Stockton system. This major pollution point needs to be fixed.

CSPA petitions SWRCB for review regarding Regional Boards permit for Rio Vista waste water treatment plant

The City of Rio Vista's wastewater discharge is a major threat to migrating salmonoids and stripers. CSPA is asking the state to review this potential killing zone and modify the current permit.
