DFG releases Striped Bass Population Study Cruise Report: Although not conclusive, populations down from previous survey

September 7, 2008 -- The California Department of Fish and Game conducted a Striped Bass population study from April 1st through May 30th of this year. The survey was conducted at two locations. The first was the use of ten Fyke traps in the vicinity of Knight's Landing in the Sacramento River and the second , the use of gill nets at two locations in the Delta, the first on the San Joaquin above Antioch bridge and the second in the vicinity of Sherman Island at the confluence of the Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers.
