Diablo Valley Fly Fishers send in over 100 letters of support for AB 1806June 15-David Lipscomb, Conservation Director for the Diablo Valley Fly Fishers, reports that, in response to CSPA Advisory 6.4.08, the club organized a letter writing session at their regular monthly meeting. The effort produced over 100 letters supporting the bill in the coming Senate Natural Resources and Water Committee hearing scheduled for June 24. Their efforts and initiative are a model for other clubs in the fight for sufficient water for fish and the environment. It is becoming apparent with the continuous assault on our fisheries that all of us will have to work much more diligently and closely together if we hope to stop the rape of California's fish and game for the profits available from subsidized water. |
