The First Annual Waldo Music Fest, May 31st
in Stockton at Bill's house
May 21, 2008. (Stockton)
The first annual Waldo Holt Music Fest will be held Saturday,
May 31, noon to 6 p.m. at the Bill Jennings, CSPA
Compound along the Calaveras River
bank,, 3536 Rainier Ave,
Stockton. Bands, food and a
silent auction will be featured parts of the event.
Waldo
was a CSPA board member, a long time member of the Com-
mittee to Save the Mokelumne and Delta Keeper.. Hundreds
of people admired Waldo's selfless work on behalf of the
non-human residents of San Joaquin County. The Waldo
Holt Conservancy was created to preserve habitat in San
Joaquin County for wild birds, fish, animals and plants.
The
conservancy has its eyes on a lovely piece of riparian
habitat land on the Mokelumne River, which they hope to
buy and donate to the Woodbridge Ecological Preserve,
where it will be open for hiking, bird-watching and
fishing, undeveloped except for unpaved foot trails.
